Welcome to Buznet! We appreciate your interest in our smart home automation services. By using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Service Description
Buznet provides home automation installation and support services, including but not limited to smart lighting, plugs, cameras, and ceiling fan automation. Our services are designed to enhance the convenience, efficiency, and security of your home.
2. Service Eligibility
Ownership and Consent: To utilize Buznet’s services, you must either own the property where the installation will occur or have explicit consent from the property owner. If you are not the owner, a signed letter of consent from the property owner must be provided before any services can commence. This letter should authorize the installation of Buznet’s smart home devices and acknowledge the owner's agreement to the terms of service.
Electrical Compliance Responsibility: As the client, you are responsible for ensuring that all existing electrical connections and infrastructure in your property are compliant with local and national electrical codes and standards. Before installation, it is imperative to have your electrical systems checked and certified by a qualified electrician to confirm they are safe and meet regulatory requirements.
Liability for Non-Compliant Electrical Systems: Buznet will not be held responsible for any damage, loss, or injury that occurs as a result of existing electrical connections or infrastructure being non-compliant with the required standards. Our installation services assume that your property’s electrical system is in good standing and capable of supporting the smart home devices safely. If during the installation process it is discovered that the existing electrical systems are not compliant, Buznet reserves the right to halt the installation until compliance is achieved. Any necessary repairs or upgrades to achieve compliance will be at the client’s expense and must be completed before installation can proceed.
3. Payment Terms
Payment for Buznet services and products is required in advance. The total cost will be agreed upon before the commencement of services. Any additional services or products requested beyond the initial agreement will be subject to separate billing and agreement.
4. Installation
Installation will be scheduled at a mutually agreeable time. You must provide safe and reasonable access to your property for Buznet technicians to perform the installation. You are responsible for ensuring that the installation area is free from hazards.
Assessment of Existing Conditions: Before initiating any installation work, Buznet will conduct a thorough inspection of the property to assess existing conditions and identify any potential risks or areas of concern. This assessment will help in planning the installation to avoid any damage to the property.
Preventive Measures: Buznet takes proactive steps to minimize the risk of damage during the installation process. Protective coverings may be used to shield floors, walls, and furniture from dust or debris. Technicians will use best practices and tools designed to prevent damage to your property, such as using non-invasive techniques for installing devices and managing cables.
Client Communication: If there is a risk of potential damage (e.g., drilling into walls for mounting devices or running cables), Buznet will communicate this to the client beforehand. The client will be informed of the necessary actions and any potential risks, and consent will be obtained before proceeding with such activities.
Handling of Pre-existing Damages: In cases where existing damages or vulnerabilities are identified during the assessment, Buznet will inform the client and document these findings. Buznet is not responsible for pre-existing damages but will make every effort to avoid exacerbating these conditions during the installation process.
Post-Installation Inspection: After the installation is complete, a final inspection will be conducted in the presence of the client to ensure that no new damage has occurred. Any discrepancies or issues will be addressed promptly.
5. Equipment and Warranty
Buznet guarantees that all installed equipment will function as described and be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 30 days from the installation date. This warranty does not cover damages resulting from user error, neglect, or external factors outside of Buznet’s control.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
Services canceled by the client less than 48 hours before the scheduled installation time may incur a cancellation fee. If you are not satisfied with the installation service, please contact Buznet within 30 days for resolution. Refunds for services or products are at the discretion of Buznet, subject to assessment of the claim.
7. Privacy and Data Protection
Buznet is committed to protecting your privacy. We will only collect, use, and disclose your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We will not share your personal information with third parties without your consent, except as required for the provision of our services or as required by law.
8. Limitation of Liability
Buznet’s liability for any claim related to these terms of service, including but not limited to installation, shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the services. Buznet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Changes to Terms of Service
Buznet reserves the right to modify these terms of service at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting on our website or through other communication channels.
10. Governing Law
These terms of service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where Buznet operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
